Right now
I am learning Zig, partly due to the project lead seem to have views on LLM and "AI" that aligns with my own, the fact that the Rust project seems to be a bit more loosey-goosey on those things, and that I want to learn a systems programming language where I might not have to fight as much with a borrow-checker or similar.
I spend more work hours than I would like on writing YAML, either for CI workflows or for Kubernetes configuration. It's a bit interesting, and I get to automate things, but there are other things I would also like to be able to spend time on.
The violin I got as a birthday present from my mother a few years back has come out of hiding in a case in the closet, and I am trying to learn to handle it. After having played the guitar for about 30 years at this point, it's a bit hard to adjust to the fact that I now need to intonate with my fretting (?) hand. And then there's also the fact that it's tuned in fifths instead of (mostly) fourths...
On ice
- I have a half-built electric guitar project
- At some point I will build another keyboard, preferably with some kind of built-in pointing device like a track point or ball.
Books
- Learning to fly
- Blood in the Machine
- Poster girl
I try not to have too many books going at the same time, but my Tsundoku pile is larger than I would like it to be.
